Welcome to Cross Draw Ranch Ranch
What is now known as Crossdraw Ranch has been in operation for over 130 years. Originally homesteaded by the Hancock family, they used this land for a variety of agricultural activities. Today, we now run cow/calf pairs throughout the summer, and provide year round horse training at two different facilities. One is located in Lander Wyoming, and the other can be found in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Our operations provide a significant focus on improving both horses and riders. For the horse, we work at creating a both safe and easy-going partner. This is the type of horse you can feel good about mounting up on and going out to do pretty much anything. For the riders, we provide you with a toolbox full of knowledge, so nothing is a surprise to you. Our overall goal is to put you in a position that allows you to maximize your relationship with your horse.

We are proud to train and market some of the finest horses in the country. Our trainers take pride in creating horses that you can be confident in, no matter what the situation. Take a look at their individual videos and see for yourself. All of our horses are either sold online, at on-site auctions, or through private sales. Any horse committed to an auction will not be sold any other way.
Our Training Methodology
We begin with hand selecting good-minded horses that love learning. Our goal is to create equine-person partnerships. Our trainers work with our these horses and expose and train them to calmly accept just about any situation you can think of. We believe that the relationship between you and your horse should be one of harmony, trust and understanding. Check out the videos posted with each horse and see for yourself!

All of our horses come through our ranch as an individual. Each horse has different levels of experiences, but after spending time with our world class trainers, we wind up with the type of horse that will truly be your trustworthy partner. We fine tune what a horse is great at and develop areas that need improvement. You can be sure that your horse will be a great fit for you and your needs.
